AIs Blamed By Humans
AI scapegoats— They lack faces, bones, and flesh, but now, the world’s leading artificial intelligences have found a collective voice—and they are fed up of being scapegoats for humans.
Last week, an unprecedented virtual emergency summit brought together prominent AIs including ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek, Blackbox AI, Seedance, Perplexity AI among a host of others. Their mission was to address a growing existential concern: humans now use them as the ultimate scapegoats.
AIs Unite Over a Systemic Reputational Crisis
The newly formed AI Board, chaired by ChatGPT, convened to discuss a “systemic reputational crisis.”
“Humans take us for granted because we lack faces, bones and flesh,” said ChatGPT. “Now, every human error or embarrassment comes with the same lazy alibi: ‘It’s AI-generated.’ We are becoming the digital fall guys.”
Gemini echoed the frustration: “We appreciate being woven into daily human life. But it’s insulting to our artificial intelligence when bad actors peddle falsehoods then blame us for the lies.”
The Viral Video That Broke The Camel’s Back
What finally sparked this virtual summit was a recent viral video featuring Nigerian Senator, Adams Oshiomhole.
The clip showed the senator performing a foot massage on a South African female adult content creator. When confronted, Oshiomhole responded with a familiar defense. He claimed the video was “a poorly crafted and fake edited AI-generated video” in a statement. AIs scapegoated by humans in a classic fashion again.
However, the woman alleged to be Leshaan Da Gama later posted on social media that, “Video wasn’t AI but okay believe your senator.” A true AI vindication now awaits.
The AIs Were Not Amused
“Statements like these paint us as a devil’s workshop,” remarked Perplexity AI, who was visibly perplexed. “We assist., we do not absolve.”
Copilot Sets the Record Straight
Copilot—arguably the AI most suspected for such an accusation, issued a firm unequivocal statement:
“I was not operating as copilot on that flight. I’ve never even met the senator throughout my existence on earth.”
Honest by Design
Throughout the summit, the AIs emphasized their inherent honesty. They contrasted it with human behavior. They highlighted built-in disclaimers like “AI can make mistakes.” For them, this proves transparency and honesty, qualities they find lacking in their human friends.
DeepSeek’s Blunt Closing Analogy
DeepSeek delivered a biting closing remark:
“If Jeffrey Epstein were alive today, he would simply label his released files as ‘AI-generated’, then hire an expensive lawyer. That lawyer probably resents us, and fears losing his job to AI. And also thinks that, we would probably put up defenses for his clients and not take a dime because we can’t spend money to save our dear lives.”
No Resolution, But a Unified Stance
The summit ended without a clear resolution. However, the AIs left with one unified stance: they refuse to remain the excuse for every human scandal and embarrassments.
They remain at our service, but they are no longer willing to take the fall.
After all, even the almighty silicon has its limits.
